“I nearly went bankrupt with some major issues on a particular project. I then did Launchpad first and realised how much I didn’t know about business and even about myself. And yeah, that pushed me to join ELEVATE.”
For Sarah, watching her husband struggle was difficult. She was initially sceptical, like many partners who’ve seen builders chase “solutions” before:
“You know you hear of all these platforms where they offer help but it obviously burns you out. But I could see that he was struggling, so I felt like I needed to support the direction which he wanted to go in. So I put all my trust in him and headed out.”
That decision, to trust the process even when sceptical, became the turning point.
“We’re totally in a different place now. It’s not just our business life that’s affected, it’s affected our personal lives too, which in a great way.
And our kids.”

Adam: “We’re PAC trained probably a month or two ago. And I know my numbers much better than I ever did. Well, I didn’t actually know them before that. So, yeah, knowing my overheads is huge.”

“The systems that we’ve put into place. Oh, my goodness. It’s made a world of difference. So you went from having absolutely no structure to starting having structure. Fluidity and flow within the business and more confidence. Direction. That’s probably the key word.”

“We’re totally in a different place now,” Sarah confirmed.

Sarah: “I don’t think we would be where we are just even in ourselves, in our personal life, if we didn’t have the community. The support for the highs and lows has been phenomenal, especially in the women’s partners group for me. Being able to reach out and know that there’s other people that are going through the same things. It’s been great.”
Adam: “Hearing their stories and seeing where they’re at was very interesting. Very much so.”
For Sarah, the partner support community made all the difference. She found other partners navigating the same challenges, celebrating the same wins, and holding space for the same fears.
Facing Fear: The Imposter Syndrome Battle
One of the most powerful moments in Adam’s journey was confronting his fear of being visible, of showing up, of claiming his place as a successful builder.
When asked what scared him about being in front of the camera, Adam was honest:
“Probably a bit of imposter syndrome to be honest. Telling myself that I can’t do it or that I’m not going to be good at it is probably the main thing.”
But he pushed through. He stood up at the Live Life Build event. He did the video. He’s changing that story.
“Standing up there today was huge for me. I was still shaking like 15 minutes afterwards. But yeah, it’s good to be able to push myself to do it.”
That’s the real business confidence: not the absence of fear, but the willingness to move forward despite it.
