The problem is working your ass off without knowing if you’re actually making money. Quoting jobs without confidence because you don’t understand your true costs. Undercharging because you’re guessing instead of knowing.
Joey knows this struggle intimately.
“I was busting my ass, doing the hours, putting in the time, and it just wasn’t paying the dividend,” Joey shares. “The big one was for my family. Just want to make a difference and make sure my time’s spent as best as I can.”
He’d been trying his own way. Running on his own drive. Staying in his lane.
But it wasn’t working.
Something had to change. And it had to be for his family.
The Decision to Be Vulnerable
Here’s the thing about builders like Joey: they’re used to handling it themselves.

“As a builder or anyone in modern day society, trying to find someone who gives a shit about you is tough,” Joey says. “I’m someone who sort of just stays in my lane and always sort of runs on my own iron sort of drive.”

“Seeing the group get behind each other, it’s actually been pretty nice,” he shares. “Coming here today, you sort of just let yourself go a bit knowing that you’re not the only one. You’re not on your own.”
