Acclaim Building & Renovations is a Perth-based residential building company specialising in renovations, extensions and alterations to existing homes. Established in 2017, Acclaim Building & Renovations was founded by Malcolm Aitken, who has been a registered builder since 2017.
With over 20 years’ experience in the building industry, Malcolm Aitken brings a strong hands-on background to every project. Originally from New Zealand, Malcolm completed his carpentry apprenticeship before building his career across residential construction and establishing Acclaim Building & Renovations in Perth.
We believe the best building outcomes come from having the homeowner, designer and builder working together from the early stages of a project. Our role is to bring practical construction knowledge into the design process, helping identify potential issues, understand the existing home and consider how design decisions may affect the overall project.
Through the Live Life Build PAC System, we work closely with clients and their designers during the planning and design stages. This allows us to provide early costing input, work through construction details, identify potential risks and develop a thorough project proposal before construction begins.
Malcolm remains personally involved throughout each project, bringing practical experience and a hands-on approach to managing the challenges that can arise when renovating and extending existing homes.
Our projects range from major extensions and alterations through to kitchens, bathrooms and other residential renovations. We work closely with clients, designers, consultants and trusted trades throughout the entire project, ensuring each stage is carefully considered, coordinated and managed from initial planning and design through to completion.
