And when you’re working with people all the time, they celebrate the fact that you’re achieving something whilst they achieve something that’s heaps of fun.

The Power of Positive Mantras

Duayne

It’s really important to get in the habit of having sayings that you live by, finding out their deeper meaning, and implementing them into your life. So, Amelia, what saying do you tend to live by?

Amelia

I have to, and they’re really great for anchoring me back into things that I really value and hold important. They also act as guides for decision-making and the things that I choose to do.

So the first one is “Believe It’s Possible.” The second one is “A Rising Tide Floats All Boats.” These are two sayings that I’ve really hung on to and use as mantras for the decisions that I make in my life and my business.

Duayne

Yeah, so is it something that you have ticking away in the back of your mind, and when certain situations are happening, that you’re thinking about?

Amelia

Most definitely. And I think that something like the saying “Believe It’s Possible,” for me, as a business owner, and in life, generally, you’re constantly coming up against things where somebody might be saying no, or you don’t really feel that you know how to do something, or you feel like you’re not ready for something, or it really does make you nervous or scared.

And, the most fun that you have in life is living outside of your comfort zone. It can be quite scary to be there. I really liked “Believe it’s Possible” because when I think that I know that I don’t need to know all the how, I just need to know that it’s something that I want to do or that it’s something that can actually be achieved.

Then, I can start to put in place what I need to do to make that happen. I think that “Believe It’s Possible” keeps me in a positive mindset as well. It keeps me optimistic and hopeful about what I can achieve. That then helps me chase down some big, hairy, audacious goals.

I can be passionate about that, pursuing things that light me up and about me, contributing to the world in the way that I want to.

Anchoring Yourself with Mantras for Decision Making

Everyone seems to have a saying that comes up every now and then. Some sayings are funny, some sayings are controversial, but having a saying that has a meaning and a purpose to how you’re living your life can make a really big difference.

It can have a flow-on effect, helping you in business, life, and relationships. I think “A Rising Tide Floats All Boats” is a great saying because, obviously, that’s what we’re doing with Live Life Build. We are changing an industry.

And when you have sayings like that, and you believe in them, it just helps you be so much more focused on your purpose.

Amelia

I think too. What I love about “A Rising Tide Floats All Boats” is that it captures this idea of collaboration over competition.

We’ve grown through a time when everybody is expected to be pitted against each other. It’s all about getting your slice of the pie, getting your share, and making your share bigger and bigger.

I’d much rather live my life in an abundance mindset, not a scarcity mindset. For me, this is about helping others rise with us. And I think that when you have that mindset of collaboration over competition, and “A Rising Tide Floats All Boats,” you live in a place of wanting to improve things for everyone.

And what I find that does is you start to attract some people who think similarly, who aren’t all about competition and that scarcity mindset, and also want to see you succeed as much as they want their own success.

When you work with people all the time who celebrate that you’re achieving something while they achieve something that’s heaps of fun, that’s actually really great. And, to me, that’s the kind of world I want to live in. That’s the kind of world I want to raise my kids in. And I think that’s really possible.

I think there are opportunities. We live in an abundant time with many opportunities available if we know how to work together and draw on each other’s skills, experience, and expertise. Then, everybody can enjoy the benefits, and we can elevate everyone’s experience.

Cultivating an Abundance Mindset

And it’s one of those things with a saying. It can just be something that just makes your mind change. You get a clearer mindset. You can put some clarity on the rest of your day. You can get rid of a bad morning or a thought or something that you’re having.

It doesn’t have to be complicated.

Some people will dive deep into it and possibly turn it around the other way. They then start thinking, “Oh, I can’t do that. I can’t raise all boats. So what am I going to do?”

It’s really important to stay positive. It might be a case of you don’t know exactly what you have to do, but it’s keeping that positivity and just knowing that you’re on the right course and keep reviewing things, isn’t it?

Amelia

Yeah, definitely. And I think that having signs like this, as I said at the beginning, just creates great anchors for you to return to when you’re feeling troubled or you’re struggling with something.

I’ve found that “A Rising Tide Floats All Boats” has been a fantastic one for me when I’ve had a gut feeling that someone’s not the right person to work with. And I’ve been able to revisit that and go, that’s why, because they’re not thinking similarly about how I like to work.

“Believe It’s Possible” has honestly been a guiding force through so many tough decisions and processes, helping me stay tenacious and persistent about the things that I want to achieve.

And so, whatever you’re saying ends up being something like, “Believe It’s Possible.” It’s three words, and it’s something that if you can find something like that, that just helps you when you’re struggling with something, or you’re feeling like life isn’t going exactly how you would like it to, that you can return to anchor back to, and then be a guiding light in how you go forward and make decisions.

It’s becoming really, really powerful for yourself.

Remember that the journey of growth and success is ongoing. There is always more to learn, more challenges to overcome, and more opportunities to rise.
